Cascade Chorale History
The CASCADE CHORALE, a SATB community chorus, is part of the music department at Central Oregon Community College. We currently have members who ve sung with the chorus for decades, as well as members that have just recently graduated from high school. The Cascade Chorale has been under the direction of James W. Knox since 2004, and averages 75 talented singers. As a part of the Cascade Chorale Association, we have three annual performances. Holiday Magic, our annual fundraiser, has two performances at the Tower Theatre the first week in December. Our March Classics concert, and our May POPS concert are both free to our community and held at smaller venues. The Cascade Chorale Association ( CCA ) is a 501(c)3 organization which provides financial and organizational support to Cascade Chorale. While COCC provides invaluable support in terms of a rehearsal space and our amazing director, James Knox, the CCA provides financial support for concert planning and execution, our accompanist and other musicians, programs, and advertising. We always welcome new members. |
