What is Circle Singing? Circle singing is discovering your vocal expression through improvisation. It is about being in a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your creative potential. Circle singing plays with movement, where your body can also become īmusicalīor an extension of your own voice. We could say it weaves in theatrical and dance mediums to experiment with the body as a creative instrument, for vocal inspiration. Pre-requisites? You donīt have to call yourself a singer to be a part of the circle. More importantly you need to be comfortable with improvising, or at least not be afraid of it, be willing to throw your self into the deep end. Circle singing doesnīt require perfection rather a willingness to connect deeply with your voice, sing with an open heart and listen to your fellow singers. Be prepared to be open minded, be prepared to take risks,be prepared to be ridiculous, and be prepared for the unknown! |
