Zenith History
Zenith, founded in 2008, is a mixed a cappella group of five who make music without any instruments. The dictionary definition of 'Zenith' is 'the most successful point, the highest point', sothey use this word as their group name is to explain 'human voice is the best instrument'. Their music, 'Take A Train', 'Beautiful Girl','Giant Tree', 'Christmas carol medley' etc., is loved by listeners because of comfort from normal daily life and wit. For the broadcast and stage, on the basis of Jazz and pop, they create powerful performance from a variety of music genre through the combination of arrangement skill and musical elements. Zenith got first prize at pop category and second prize at jazz category from 2015 vokal.total International A Cappella Competition in Austria. At the '2014 Taiwan International A Cappella Competition(TCMC)' , held on October 10th, Zenith as an Asia group won a championship for the first time, rewrote Asia a cappella history. They got a triple crown by sweeping best stage performance and best Jazz Interpretation also. In addition, they also won the first prize and best composition and arrangement(Eric Kim, leader of Zenith) at the '2014 Incheon Airport International A Cappella Competition', has been recognized as a best a cappella group officially. After successfully finished Taiwan and Singapore tour in October 2014, Zenith is receiving great attentions from the world beyond Korea. According to the meaning of 'Zenith', there must be the best a cappella group 'Zenith' at the best place. Recently, they played leading role from Korea 1st A Cappella movie, named 'Gaint Tree' in 2016 and the movie presented film festivals. |
