Each year, SAI's 600+ choruses compete in their local regions. SVC competes annually against choruses in the Harmony Heartland Region #4, an area that encompasses parts of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama. The first time the chorus competed was in 1988, the year SVC was founded. The chorus was named the Novice Champion and came in sixth place overall.
