Lee Dengler received a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from West Chester University School of Music in West Chester, PA. He studied choral composition and arranging with Alice Parker at Westminster Choir College as well as in her home in New England where he participated in the Melodious Accord Fellowship program. Lee and his wife, Susan, live in Goshen, Indiana where they are Ministers of Music and Arts at College Mennonite Church. Together they oversee a fully graduated vocal and handbell choir program. Lee directs the 60-voice adult choir. Also, he is a freelance editor and engraver for several major sacred music publishers in the United States. Lee is a bass/baritone soloist and has sung in recitals in many churches and in numerous oratorio and operatic productions. He directs the Goshen Community Chorale, a 60- to 70-voice organization which performs a wide range of choral repertoire. Composing has always been a passion for Lee, beginning very early in life. Lee grew up in a Mennonite church in eastern Pennsylvania where four-part a cappella congregational hymn singing was the norm. This planted in him a deep love for singing. This love continues to be an influence in his writing today. Lee composes a wide range of choral, vocal and piano works and has over 220 works published by most of the nation's major music publishers.
