One of our favorite winners of Season 4 of NBC's hit, The Sing-Off, based of course on our own Harmony Sweepstakes, bring us a country-flavored, harmony-rich smorgasbord of Christmas songs. "Full of Cheer" is exactly that, ten beautifully arranged by group members Adam and Chris Rupp, Tim Foust and Ben Bram. The harmonies here are as delicious as the ones that wowed the delighted Sing-Off judges, and are especially sweet on traditional favorites "White Christmas (featuring wonderful faux harmonica and pedal steel)," "O' Holy Night," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Baby, It's Cold Outside," "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and "Silent Night," featuring guest vocalist Taylor Davis. We also loved Jimmy Melton, Anthony Mobley and Danielle Neal's funny and nostalgic "Hairy Christmas," the hilarious country classic "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" and the manic, funny title tune, where the guys celebrate that "my baby left me full of cheer!" Of the many things we love about Home Free is how much fun they have singing, their sound is rich and effortless, and their arrangements tight and sweet. Your friends and family, country fans or not, will love "Full of Cheer!" |
