Formed in 1998, Fanatix won 4th place in their first regional, and a wild card entry to their first international competition in Atlanta, where they placed fourth. Then came 5th in Orlando in 2000, then after much work and preparation, in October, 2001 Connie Noble, Tenor, Darcy Newell, Lead, Sandy Shelver, Baritone and Gerry Papageorge, Bass, were named 2002 Sweet Adelines International Queens of Harmony! After that came an invitation to be the first to perform barbershop music at the Smithsonian Institution, the release of "Slam Dunk Barbershop" and all kinds of fun. Included are: "Two Tickets To Georgia Medley," "Little Lady Make Believe," Irving Berlin's "I Got The Sun in the Morning," Rodgers & Hammerstein's "I Have Dreamed," "I've Got the World On a String," "Why Did I Choose You," "This Is Some Lucky Day," "Toot Toot Tootsie," "If I Were the Only Girl in the World," "I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover," "Love Me and the World is Mine," "I Love to Hear That Good Old Barbershop Style," "Straighten Up and Fly Right" and "Golden Earrings."
