St. Louis Harmony Chorus : Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas   

Formed in 1961 and pride of St. Louis, MO, the St. Louis Harmony Chorus is an award-winning 90-voice a cappella women's chorus and member of Sweet Adelines International. Sandi Wright directs her powerful, veteran chorus in this generous, rich-harmonied collection. Equally included are favorite carols like "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Carol of the Bells," "Caroling, Caroling," "Coventry Carol," "Go Tell it On the Mountain," "Silent Night" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas;" and popular Christmas songs like "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Let It Snow,"CHRISTmas," "Winter Wonderland" and "White Christmas." Under the direction of the highly regarded Sandi Wright this new release from the vibrant Sweet Adeline Chorus is a tribute to some of the great Hollywood songs. With their usual flair the chorus does a wonderful job with the 20th Century Fox Fanfare with lyrics by Johnny Mercer, are fabulous singing the Greg Volk arrangement of "Some Lucky Day" (from Dick Tracy), delight with the title track from "Fame" and "Unforgettable" from the movie "Unforgettable" is, well, unforgettable. A very special treat and our favorite track is the Renee Craig arrangement of "Danny Boy".

This fine women's chorus sings with exuberance and joy on this live recording of standards and lesser-known songs. Featuring many arrangements of barbershop guru David Wright including the wonderful Elvis song "Love Me Tender" and "How's Every Little Thing in Dixie" this recording clearly shows how much fun this chorus has singing to a live audience and is sure to brighten anybody's day.
