Mixed Youth Chorus The Hilo Community Chorus is a non-profit 501(c)(3) non-auditioned chorus. Anyone who loves choral singing and is willing to devote two hours each week in rehearsals is invited to join. The Chorus generally performs two concerts a year: a concert of seasonal songs and carols in December and a classical music concert in the spring. Each December, in addition to their concert of seasonal music, the Chorus participates in a Messiah sing-along. Also, members of the Chorus are regular participants of concerts in New York sponsored by DCINY. This includes several Martin Luther King, Jr. Day concerts at Carnegie Hall, and Thanksgiving weekend Messiah concerts at Lincoln Center. Non Audition.
