Community Chorus

Glen Ellyn Wheaton Chorale is an auditioned community group with a target membership of 60 singers. The group is open to adults (18 and older) who love to sing and learn in an enjoyable environment. Membership requires commitment to weekly rehearsals and two major concerts per year, as well as other special performances at select venues.

Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings, 7:30-9:30 p.m. The chorale's season runs from September to June, with seasonal concerts in Nov or Dec and Apr or May. Concerts often collaborate with other choirs, instrumental ensembles, and instrumental soloists. Repertoire includes a variety of seasonal, classical, and ethnic works, and modern composers.

Audition Policy - Auditions with Jennifer Whiting, Music Director, include vocal exercises, sight reading, and independent part singing. A portion of a prepared piece is welcome but not required. The director will accompany you.

Rehearsal Information - Tuesdays, 7:30 9:30 p.m. Late August through early December, and first week of January through early May
