Dr. Singleton joined Dominican's faculty in 1997. Before that, he served as director of the Dixon School of Church Music of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary for 13 years. His performance areas are choral conducting and voice and include recitals and concerts across the US, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. He graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, with a major in music and religion and received a Master of Church Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He also received a Master of Music in Music Education from Holy Names University in Oakland, CA. Craig has studied in Budapest, Hungary at the Vigado Redoute and has extensive experience as a singer (baritone), a church musician, and conductor, and is also a jazz aficionado. Since 2000, he has conducted Dominican's Winifred Baker Chorale in works of many composers, including Schutz, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Vaughan Williams, Rutter, and Lauridsen. |
