In this book, the tenor part is suitable in range for either changed voices or those unchanged boys' voices which are usually assigned to a low alto part. The baritone part lies within the easy range of voices even in junior high school and is effective when sung by adult male choruses who may be lacking tenors but yet have a good many basses. The bass part is also not too low for the average low baritone voice, thus making it possible for a few of the lower voices to cope with the bass. The material in the book is suitable for average concert glee club programming, and can be employed for boys' groups just learning to sing in three parts. |
