The 2008 Sweet Adelines Convention and Competition in October in Honolulu was the best ever, and Northbrook, Illinois' Melodeers Chorus emerged from a powerful field wearing the Gold! They sing 5 dynamic tunes on this CD, including "Time After Time," "Sailin' Down The Chesapeake Bay" and "Love Letters." Toronto's North Metro Chorus took Silver with "Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo-Ra, That's An Irish Lullaby" and 3 other songs here; Scottsdale Arizona's Scottsdale Chorus won Bronze with "Medley: Strike Up The Band" and 3 other tunes here; and Denver, Colorado's Skyline Chorus took 4th, they have 3 songs including Medley: Angry. The 5th through 10th places are Sweden's Ronninge Show Chorus, Song of Atlanta Chorus, San Diego Chorus, Spirit of the Gulf Chorus, Pride of Portland Chorus and Buffalo Gateway Chorus, each represented with from 2 to 5 songs.
