This piece was composed in honour of the centenary of Marconi's first trans-oceanic wireless signal. The theme of the work, sound waves, is evoked through overlapping phrases sung ad lib., and the music as a whole conjures up an air of mystery and romance which is sure to appeal to many choirs. |
