Each of the 4 members (3 men, 1 woman) of The Allures is a vocal group veteran of the 50s and 60s Doo Wop scene. Formed in 1983 at a United Group Harmony Show, The Allures have become an all-time favorite of the Doo-Wop circuit. Favorites among these 12 songs are "Gloria," "Why Won't You Believe Me," "Chapel of Dreams," "I Believe," "The Shrine of St. Cecilia," "Magic Moon" and "Last Night I Dreamed." We heard some of this material for the first time, and we enjoyed every cut! |
