Salve, written by Javier Busto and edited by John Ratledge, was premiered on November 15, 2014 at a tribute concert to Javier Busto in Hondarribia. The concert was called "Begirada urdina" or "Eyes of Blue," and this piece was composed for this special occasion. The title responds to the author's intention of emphasizing the Salve greeting, but still recognizes it as a hymn to the Virgin Mary, with a beautiful and peaceful end. |
