This is not your garden variety "Lo, How a Rose!" In eight parts much of the time, it innocently begins--and dramatically ends--with four treble soloists. The main structure of the piece is antiphonal as the men alternate with the women. A stunning arrangement, this setting would be a fine centerpiece for a Christmas concert. |
