This Christmas piece is everything you would expect from Richard Burchard and so much more. The lovely melody and flowing harmonies are anticipated, as are the familiar words of the carol, but the accompanying syllables, some almost jazz-like, are a pleasant surprise. Selected for the Bruce Rogers Choral Series, you know it is an excellent college or fine community choir piece. Medium to difficult. |
