The Treble Chorus of the Children's Chorus of Washington which features 64 voices of children ages 9-17, brings us this nice collection of 22 songs from their 2005 Holiday Concert and 2006 Spring Concert, with Stephen Hatfield as guest composer/conductor. Favorites are "This is the Truth," Daley's "Sweet Was the Song the Virgin Sang," "Torah Orah," "Sh'Ma Yisrael," "Jingle Bell Swing," Handel' "Hallelujah Chorus" from Messiah, the title tune, Mozart's "Laudate Dominum," Stephen Hatfield's "Foggy Birthday Shuffle," and the spiritual "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho." There is light to heavy accompaniment on most tunes. "Where the Music" is a beautiful, entertaining collection from these talented young singers. |
