Recently, there has been a strengthening of the bond between The King's Singers and The Salvation Army, also founded in the UK. The Singers performed at an SA gathering and, as a surprise, prepared some music from The Salvation Army Songbook. They asked for more! The result is a series of discs of beautiful sacred arrangements for personal meditation by Philip Lawson and Christopher Gabbitas. Many of these songs will be of familiar text, but with a fresh new melody and six-part male harmony. This is volume 2.
